What does a typical tutoring session look like?

Each session is goal-oriented and personalized. They begin with a warm-up to activate prior knowledge, followed by direct instruction and guided practice. Then, your child engages in independent practice to apply what they've learned. Sessions close with a quick review and reflection, so your child leaves feeling confident, clear, and ready to keep growing.


How can I pay?

We accept payments from all major debit and credit cards.


How does payment work?

After completing enrollment, your first payment is processed immediately. After that, your monthly payments will automatically be charged to the card on file on the same date each month. So, if your first payment goes through on the 10th, your future payments will also be processed on the 10th of each month.


How do I schedule my child's tutoring?

After payment is received and processed, you can log in to your parent portal to schedule your child's tutoring session, selecting an available date and time and slot on your calendar. 


Can sessions be canceled or rescheduled?

If you need to cancel a scheduled tutoring session, please provide at least 24 hours' notice to avoid being charged for the session. Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the scheduled session will result in a cancellation fee equivalent to the cost of the session. Session credits for canceled sessions without a minimum of 24 hours' notice will be issued at the discretion of Pathway Learning Academy. Sessions canceled with 24 hours' notice or more may be credited and rescheduled for a future date within a 30-day period.


What happens if my child misses a session?

If your child misses a session without prior cancellation, it will be considered missed, and that session credit will be considered used. However, we may apply a session credit at our discretion in extenuating circumstances.


Can tutoring credits be transfered between siblings?

Tutoring credits cannot be transferred between students or any other student enrolled in any of our tutoring programs. 


What if my child has technical issues during a session?

If your child experiences technical issues during a session, please contact our support team immediately via chat on our website or at support@pathwaylearningonline.com. We will work to resolve the issue or reschedule the session if necessary.


What equipment does my child need for online tutoring?

Your child will need a computer or tablet with a reliable internet connection, a webcam, and a microphone. 


Are sessions recorded?

Sessions are recorded for quality and training purposes and to be provided as learning resources for students. They are stored securely and are not shared with third parties. Session recordings can be provided upon request.
